Surgery

So thursday morning I woke up in pain! Never a fun way to start the day right? I figured I had slept funny and was sore. WRONG! Fast Forward>> I had appendicitis! Who just wakes up with appendicitis? Apparently I do. And apparently it was pretty bad! So we went to community care and they did a blood test (yuck) but my white count was fine and I didn't have a fever, so I had to go to the hospital and have a cat scan.

Oh MY GOSH! Worst experience of my life. I never want to have another cat scan EVER! The juice they make you drink before to "light your insides up" is the WORST thing I have ever tasted. I think it was similar to how I would imagine drinking battery acid. They tried to put it in cranberry juice to make it better but I think that it just made it worse! Then when I actually went in for the cat scan they had to have me drink more of it, and then they had to give me an IV with some other medicine that would light my bladder up and it made me feel all hot and uncomfortable and like I was going to pee my pants! HORRIBLE! and the nurse that did my IV did a bad job so when I had to move my arm to go into the scanner I could feel the needle and I was crying. UG. HORRIBLE!

So after my appendicitis was confirmed they took me straight to the ER where I was prepped for surgery right away. They did open surgery so I'll have a nice scar across my lower right tummy now. JOY. The nurse that did my IV in the ER was way better. She did such a good job and even gave me a cool bandage to cover it so John didn't pass out looking at my IV haha!
So they took me in for surgery and apparently my appendix was particularly nasty, the surgeon said it was amazing I hadn't felt pain before thursday because it was so buried in scar tissue and was so close to rupturing (which is BAD). I woke up in so much pain though so they pushed a ton of morphine into me which in turn made me nauseas. UG! And then they were worried they gave me too much morphine so they had to put me on a breathing monitor.
So now I'm on bed rest till Tuesday. What a horrible horrible experience! I would never wish this surgery on anyone!

So ya, sorry for the horror story, but I'm bored and thought I might as well update yal on my surgery!

My Bestie Mrs. Fullmer

So on Friday April 8, I got to go and see one of my best friends get married in the Rexburg, Idaho temple! Miss Allie Willis became Mrs. Alison Fullmer! I am so happy and proud of my Allie-cat! She was such a fun roommate and has been a great friend over the past couple years! She looked absolutely beautiful and it made me so so so happy to know she was being sealed in the temple to someone as awesome as Treagan! She deserves every happiness in the world and I am just so excited for them!

The new Mr. and Mrs. !

We attended a luncheon right after the sealing! Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the table scape and setting was just GORGEOUS!!!!

Refreshment table for the reception later than night!
I loved the twinkle trees!

GORGEOUS CAKE! I love the broach!

Me and one of my favorite roomies! Congrats Allie-cat! LOVE YOU!

Home Sweet Home

Whelp, after 3 months of living in Rexburg I am happy to say that our home is fully furnished, and fully decorated! Almost... All the common areas are anyway. I'm still working on the picture frames and decorations for our room and the bathroom!
Anyway John and I have been doing lots of spring cleaning this week and shaking off the winter blues of cottonball size snow falling from the sky every other day in April... WAAAAAHHH!! Hope you enjoy the pictures of our little apartment! We love it!

Our kitchen, from L-R my kitchen aid, toaster, and butter bell. The three things I can't live without in my kitchen!

This is whats hanging on one of our dining room walls. Cute little picture collage! We aren't obsessed with ourselves I just don't have any other pictures except wedding pictures printed out because our parents sent us tons that they had blown up for the receptions.. so ya we aren't that vain! Oh and of course the Rexburg Temple. Its actually a mirror image of our view out our window. Jealous? You should be.

My table scape! Spring flowers that I arranged myself! and cute little candles leftover from the wedding reception in FL! We have only eaten at our table once. But we finally got all our stuff cleared off and I will hopefully be starting to work in the morning so I will have more of an opportunity to make real dinners for John.

OUR LIVING ROOM! This is where we spend like 89% of our time when we are home! We love our big tv and our Red micro-suede couch!

Whelp thats our home! Feel free to stop by anytime!

Spring Update

So John and I got the great opportunity to get out of Rexburg for 48 magical hours! We went down to Utah for the festival of colors and our cute niece and nephews birthday celebrations! It was so nice getting out of Rexburg! We went straight to the festival of colors with Johns sister Brittany and her husband Janssen. After that we got cleaned up and met up with my friend Kendra and her husband Jeff and their adorable little girl Alayna! We ate dinner at IN n Out burger. YUM! So nice to have more meal selections than Rexburg... You notice a theme of how much I loathe the Burg right now? haha. Anyway Sunday we made delish rolls for dinner and had a great time spending time with family. I love leaving Rexburg and I love family time!

When we were clean before we headed into the madness!
