It's Table Time

This is going to be mine and John's kitchen table! Isn't it great! Its going to match our living room! Even though its only pictured with 2 chairs, it comes with four. The girl selling it just repainted it and refinished it so its got fresh paint. I'm so excited! John moved into our apartment today! He is driving to UT tomorrow to pick up our kitchen table, coffee table, bed, and couch! AHHH!! I'm so excited to get into my apartment and start decorating!

Deep Dish Delish

HOW delish does that smore look? I'm pretty impressed with my outdoor cooking skills! My mom and I were watching Jamie Oliver the other day like we always do in the afternoons (He's absolutely BRILLIANT). And he was making home made pizzas in his outdoor brick oven and OH MY GOSH he made them look soooo amazing! So of course its like 3:30 and we both look at each other an say I WANT ONE! SO I quick ran to Publix to pick up some fresh mozz and dough and stuff for dessert(see above). And my mom started up a fire in our Chimea. It was absolutely perfect weather outside and we had a grand time making the pizzas! We started with a pre-made bread dough from Publix, then we put a olive oil based garlic mixture down, then sauce, then I put fresh oregano, rosemary and basil on mine, and topped it off with little wodges of fresh mozz cheese and of course the whole thing was drizzled with olive oil. Delish.

Our Chimea with the palm trees. What a beautiful place I live!
Pizzas cookin up in the oven!
This shows the whole atmosphere vibe we had going on. Candles, home made rootbeer, and wood smoked pizza. BRILLIANT!

Were going on an ADVENTURE!

So amidst all the Thanksgiving Festivities. My sister brought home these 3 little bears. 1 girl and 2 boys. Her work brought in boxes of them! And each employee had the option to take some home and dress them up in cute clothes and then bring them back and the Salvation Army would deliver them to kids. So of course we wanted to do one.. or three... We took them with us everywhere on Black Friday so they would have lots of adventures to share with their furutre owners... Here are our bears! We had so much fun picking out little clothes for them!
Mine is the one with the Lion on his bum... RAR!
Hope he brings lots of hugs and loves to a little kid!

getting them into their premie size clothes..

Look at his cute bum!!

My moms was a Dinosaur Explorer... RAR!

Cause we're the three best friends that anybody could have.......

My Perfect Skirt

The other night I was walking the mall and I got sight of this beautiful skirt. I try to fashion myself to have great style and unique pieces that compliment each other. And when I saw this skirt I knew that I had to have it! It is so beautiful! I have been looking for a jacquard skirt for a while, since last spring, and I haven't been able to find one that is well made and the right color. Why do people make things out of ugly fabric? But this one was perfect! And I am so looking forward to rocking it many Sundays in my new married ward in Rexburg ;) WOOT!!!!!!

Blair Waldorf would be proud yes?

Johns Birthday :)

SO Johns Birthday was on Thanksgiving... so besides all the Turkey day festivities this is what we did for his birthday! It was such a good day and I love that I got to spend the day with him. I think he was just happy not to be stuck in Rexburg in the snow...

So manly.. we went and saw TANGLED.
John and I laughed through the whole movie it was so great!

I made him work on wedding announcement stuff haha
We spent lots of time together :)

I made him the famous
Chocolate Animal Cake, formerly known as a Black Beast.
YAY!

He wished for me to marry him... haha!

How to Smoke a Turkey

Our thanksgiving Turkey was especially delish this year thanks to my sisters husband.
So my sister married a a cowboy from Wyoming. His dad's a butcher. so he's a butcher. right? RIGHT! He is good with meat! He got his dad to send some injection stuff down and when he and my sis got to my parents house they whipped this bird out and started doing all sorts of acupuncture stuff to it! The next day they cooked it for a little while and then put it out on the grill and smoked it! MAN it was DELISH! I bet we made alll our neighbors jealous cause it was outside so they all could smell it! muahaha!

It smoked for hours....
Checking to see if its done
Perfection. It sooo pays to have a butcher in the family.

The Broccoli Salad

So the recipe I have used turned out great! I love Sweet Tomatoes and this tasted just like their salad! The only thing I would of done differently is chopped up the nuts before putting them in. They were really big compared to the broccoli florets I used. so maybe if you make it just give the nuts a little chop ;) My next recipe is a dessert and super easy and perfect to give you just a little fresh taste of the holidays ;)

Suede and Sauve in Mauve

In honor of my new couch I'm posting in red! BECAUSE... drumroll.....

WE GOT A COUCH!!!!!

I'm so excited! Fiance went home friday from thanksgiving break :( boo! BUT he was searching KSL, as he usually does with his spare time when he's not with me... and he found this amazing red microsuede couch! He got a steal of a deal on it! AND its 3 years old, BUT has been in storage for like 95% of the time they have owned it. So its basically brand new! SCORE!

It seems that we are going to be having a red and black living room. We have a black awesome HUGE love sac and now a cozy red couch! So I'm thinking nice sleek coffee table, with some nice curtains and some pretty silk flowers... some classy black and white art work for the walls? yes no? I need decorating ideas for a red and black living room now! AHH! I'm so excited! YAY!!!!!!!!

Off to plan my new living room out!!

Where Do I start?

I do apologize because I have been the worst blogger ever lately! Not that I have hordes of people waiting to read what I write, because lets face it i'm no literary genius. But I still feel bad for the few people that do enjoy seeing what I post! So to the 3 people that I know regularly check my blog. I'M SORRY!

If you look to the right you will see a new section on my blog called: What I'm Cookin'. In the last few years I have become a culinary fiend and have started to branch out into the world of cooking. So I am going to try and regularly post some new recipes up that I am going to be trying out :)

Let's see what else is new... I moved back to my parents house from Orlando. I figured what with the wedding coming up( LESS THAN 5 WEEKS!!) it would be better for me to be at home. That and Disney wasn't scheduling me very many hours (BOO!). Anywho I'm back on the homestead and throughly enjoying being off an air mattress and back in my plush, pillow-top, queen size, 1500 thread count bed!

Hmmm... oh also many of my beloved clothing items I can no longer wear... and NO i'm not getting fat. Ya know... I just can't anymore :( Oh well next week after Turkey Day I have some serious Black Friday shopping to do! !
Speaking of Turkey Day, my darling dearest fiance has all next week off from school and is coming to see me! I transferred some skymiles to him for his birthday and voile! Plane ticket to FL for Thanksgiving! I am so excited for the holidays! This will be the first one that we will have with my whole family aka Matt and John! YAY! Plus I didn't think I'd get to see him again after my trip to find my dress till the wedding. SO double YAY!

Wedding plans are coming along. Pretty much everything major is done. The only things left to do are the light fluffy stuff like decide where we want twinkle lights to go, and what pictures to use for the reception etc. So basically I'm pretty wedding stress free! YAY! However John is moving into our apt on Dec 10. Annnnnddd we don't have anything! BOO!!! No couch, no table! How do people get stuff? money. Do I have any? no. (waaaaaa) OK moment of self pity is over! At least we have a bed. And a TV. Thats all you need right? Hopefully I will have a full time job ( that actually schedules me) and that will help us not only pay our bills, but get some furniture!

Well I can't think of anything else to bore you with, but now that I'm home hopefully I can start posting more regularly again.

A Spooktacular Evening

This year Halloween was on a Sunday! What a drag! or so I thought! Friday night I went with my roommate Christyn and a few of her friends to Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween Party. It was excellent! We were really indecisive about costumes for several weeks, until Christyn and I found these adorable orange witches hats! They are bright orange with spiderwebs on them and then they have a little spider hanging off the top of the hat!! LOVES It!!!!! So we got one for everyone and then her friends made us these adorable tulle skirts! What a great Halloween after all! At the party we trick or treated and got soooo much candy! Several pounds worth a piece at LEAST! We also got to watch the parade, fireworks, and ride a few great rides, space mountain, thunder mountain, you know all the good ones ;)

Witches in front of the Castle!
Salem Witch trials anyone?

Cowboys aren't the only ones with big hats!

My first meeting with the Shadow Man! <3>

What a great group of girls! We had a blast!!

Engagement Pictures

So one of the things I got to do when I was in Utah last week was take John and Mines engagement photos. James was an amazing photographer! He is so talented. It was the worst weather possible! Raining and windy! But he still managed to make us look like rockstars! Here are my top favorite pictures! I am so lucky to have such a great friend and fiance!

Pumpkin Patch Party!

TODAY! was a very good day! Christyn and I went to a local pumpkin patch and picked out some pumpkins to decorate and carve with next week! It was so much fun! When we got there there was a little boy around 6 who came right up to us and told us he was really strong and showed us his muscles! haha he was so adorable. He was the owners son, and so he said" Ladies, I'm strong and I'm going to help you out. And he grabbed a little wagon and totally pushed and pulled it around for us the whole time and kept brining us different pumpkins to look at! He was hilarious! He just kept calling us ladies, and he told us to call him Steve even though his real name was Jack haha. I just love fall!!!

Jack wanted us to buy all these pumpkins haha but it was a little too many!

Look out cute!

They had tons of crazy gords and squash! It was so pretty!

These little pumpkin cuties were called "spookies"

So pretty!

This is Jack/Steve hauling our pumpkins out to our car where he put them all in our trunk for us! What a little gentlemen!!

Just a little Hocus Pocus!!

BOO!!!!!!!!
So to start off the Halloween festivities Christyn and I went and watched Hocus Pocus! They were playing it for cast members on the Philharmagic Screen in Magic Kingdom! It was so fun seeing it on the big screen. And since its absolutely one of my very favoritist movies it made it even more epic! They played some short disney halloween classic cartoons at the beginning which was pretty awesome too! They also gave us popcorn and sodas! Who says Disney doesn't take care of their employees!! HAHA!!! After the movie, we were pretty much the only ones in the park except for the night work shift and so we took some pictures with dumbo!!! What a great way to start the Halloween Season!!

XOXO!!!!!!!

Wedding Planning....

Hello ALL!!!!! Sorry I have been so MIA to the blogging world as of late, but I have been so very busy with sorting out wedding plans! Compiling paint swatches, finding an apartment for us to live, choosing flowers, getting a marriage license, organizing flights, hotels, honeymoons... the list goes on and I feel as if it will never ever end! Wedding planning is a lot more stressful than I thought it would be. I've only been engaged for a little over a week and already I feel like my life is in over drive all the time! Who knew there were so many tiny details to be covered?

However I wanted to share some details I have made decisions on!

The first and most important decision: We are getting sealed in the Washington DC Temple on December 22 at 12 pm :) :) :) :) :) :)

The look I want is a very southern, warm cozy feel.
Whats better than candles and canning jars?

I want my bouquet to look something like this,
our colors are black, cream and dark purple

My friend Rachel made these adorable cake toppers, and I have decided to make some too!
I am custom doing them to match my dress and Johns suit :)
I'll post pictures when they are done!

Instead of having a traditional HUGE wedding cake( I HATE cake) we are going to do a small cake on top with cupcakes underneath! YAY!
Now if only I could get cupcake wars to make them for me.....

Well that is all my life consists of for now. I am traveling to UT in a few weeks to go dress shopping and take our engagement pictures so I will be sure to update after then! I also am applying for another part time job because I'm not getting good hours at Disney, so I will keep you updated on that and more wedding details as I figure them out!

XOXO
