Hey there Bloggers,
So my last post before my month of silence was about a trip I was going to be taking to the Big Apple. I guess I owe it to myself and anyone who still bothers to check my blog to post on this trip since I made it such a big deal.
Let's start by saying one thing. I love New York. And not in a cheesy I<3 NY teeshirt kind of way, but in a I appreciate fine shopping, fine dining, and some beautiful architecture kind of way.
We pounded pavement as soon as we got to the city, tracking down our tall, but skinny Hampton hotel. After settling in for a few minutes we made our first order of business lunch, and by lunch I mean finding pizza. ASAP. The weekend we were there happened to be the same weekend as one of NYC largest holiday bar crawls and everyone was getting started early, so after weaving our way through a crowd of Santa's and an already buzzed bunny... think fluffy and pink, not playboy... we found ourselves at Waldy's pizzeria. Perfecto.

After our appetites were satiated we pounded our way to brave the crowds at Macy's, the world's largest store. We got an awesome Christmas ornament there that our friends we were with got us. (Hilda and Adam you rock!!) After Macy's we headed down to Times Square to take in the sights, all the while still weaving through so many Santa's I was sure one of them was the real one.
After becoming totally blind from the bright lights we headed up to Radio City Music Hall and the Rock. After fighting through literally thousands of people to get a picture with one of the worlds most iconic Christmas trees we booked it up Fifth avenue en route to the Apple Store. Don't worry we stopped by Henri Bendels (my favorite store in the entire city) on the way just long enough for me to wish I had $1,000 to throw down on a new purse.

Once we made it to the apple store, I being the most amazing daughter ever, face timed my extremely jealous mother. After taking care of family matters we headed straight over to Carnegie Deli to loose ourselves in the "Woody Allen" and a 1,500 calorie slice of cheese cake.
Now, here comes the impressive part, after eating all of that, we then proceeded to walk 75 NYC blocks. This took us from almost Central Park, to almost Ground zero. I pansied out the last 3 block and we took a cab. I know I know, but seriously, you try walking 75 city blocks with a 2,000 calorie meal in your stomach and tell me it doesn't hurt.

The next morning we woke up bright and early and beelined it for the Brooklyn Bridge before we had to catch our bus. All in all we were in NYC for less than 24 hours and saw everything from Ground Zero, to the Empire State Building and back. One thing is sure though, I can't wait for Spring in New York.
XOXO

It sounds like you had a amazing trip so jelous
Super jealous! I miss you and your fun self.
I don't know this Henri store you are talking about.... but the rest of it sounds amazing! I spent about 30 hrs in NYC and loved it, as well. We (my bro and I ) walked from 110th to 40th and, like you, I was DONE! But it was a good time at the same time.
Glad you had fun!
